I had one job that sent me into the Mall with a clipboard and the question 'Do you answer surveys?' but no-one would stop; so my firm never did find out the answer.

Firstly I dont stop because either A) money is involved and I know I have none to give or B) Its a long survey that I dont have the time to spare, simple as that.

However surely your survey has been answered in a way...how many people did you attempt to stop? The number of people that did not stop did not want to answer your survey...so in a way..there is your answer. Also the survey would never work because if they answered your survey...wether it be a no or yes answer, they have just answered YOUR survey, so they all are saying YES even if their answer is no. So then your answer would have to be YES for every person who answered.

So, the people who dont stop are answering no (albeit only effectivley) and the people who do stop are answering yes (albeit only effectivley)

Hope this helps

I think surveyers need to try new techniques. Stopping someone in a mall isnt the answer. Most women are on a mission and dont have time to stop. LOL Remember this is a high pace world. Maybe try online polls. A poll included with a raffle. Some employers will had out polls to employees.

Ha, that's pretty ironic. Having a job giving people surveys about giving surveys. But anyway...

A lot of people don't stop simply because they don't want to be bothered, and want to continue shopping or doing whatever they are doing. They feel like they get nothing out of doing a survey.

Because a lot of people doing the surveys are trying to sell a product or service at the same time. So we just walk past.

I would have stopped. And answered one of two ways. a) Thank you, however I don't participate in surveys, or b) I may have answered the question. Depends on what I had going on at the time.

Surveys can be very fun though, at least some of them. On here, it's an easy two points, and a lot better than answering something that makes no sense.

Surveys take time and a lot of people don't have time to stop and answer questions. If I have time I will stop as long as someone's not selling something!

I don't like to shop. I usually act more like I'm on a mission. Get in, find item, pay, get out. Stopping for a poll would really mess up that mission.
I do answer polls though, when I go shopping with the wife. It's something to do while I wait....

they probably thought you were trying to sell them something. when i see people in the mall with clipboards or something they are usually trying to sell something, if you're not then you better make that clear.

good luck,
i would have answered though. with yes
have a star

Because a lot of the 'clipboard brigade' are trying to sell you soemthing or get you to sgn up to something right there and then at that moment!
