I do if its interesting otherwise like you i get bored & close the page without answering. The same for some answers when people keep repeating what they could have read before, if you get my meaning? LOL

If the question grabs me in the first two or three sentences and I'm very interested in what they're saying, I'll read it. But 9 times out of ten it's just another teenage girl having a breakdown because her boyfriend didn't call her today, and I don't even bother giving an answer.

If it is written by the answerer then yes I do.
But if I see that it is a bit taken from a web site I don't.
I see doing that as a way of cheating. They should just refer the asker to the web site and let them read it.
Some of the long but original answers are really quite interesting and well written.
I wish I could do that well at answering, but essays were my big fear at college!

If it interests me then i will read the whole question no matter how long the question is. If it doesn't interest me that much but can answer the question then i only read a little bit to get the jist of it.

I got experience from my work that less you wrote more you got understood.
