Don't think this will solve anything really. Ok stastistics will show that there is less alcohol related violence and drink driving among teenagers but I think most of the problems are due to the fact that these people are new to drinking and don't know when to stop. Most people grow out of this as they get older . I think raising the legal age will mean that the problem will then shift to people in their early twenties as they will start drinking at a later age and quite likely this will be shown in government statistics if it becomes law.

it wont make a difference, same as raising the smoking age from 16 to 18,completely no point,if people want to smoke and drink they will do it whatever. raising the drink age to 21 will jus mean that people will have to wait a few years more to start drinkin in some pubs and nightclubs that only allow over 21s,and this is easily gotten around anyway because hundreds of people use fake ids when they are too young anyway. a total complete waste of time and the govrnment tryin to score points with the public as usaul feeding them all the lies and bullshit of the day about how things are gonna be better. What they need to do is get all the neds and wasters of the day who cause all the trouble through drink and send them all away to some isolated island in the middle of nowhere and let them kill each other.

Yeah, but so many kids drink younger. 21 is how old the Government want you to be to BUY alcohol. I don't know of any law that says you cannot DRINK alcohol at 16,17 and on. Changing the buying age won't do anything, because if kids are intent on getting some booze, they will get it.

In France, you can drink at five years old. I hear that if you think your child is responsible, you can allow them alcohol. Nobody really knows what the limit is or where the boundaries lie. The law won't work unless the rest of laws involving alcohol are clearer and parents are better educated about what they can/cannot give their kids.

It won't sparkling up the priority - human beings will nevertheless drink, in simple terms there will be extra persons breaking the regulation. a extra perfect answer to cut back binge eating is, without hardship, to extensively enhance the value of alcohol, so as that it relatively is no longer seen as some form of mandatory purchase and extra a "luxurious". Banning low-value beverages promos in bars could actually have a marked result, as could the enforcement of bar team no longer serving the intoxicated - something already required yet not often seen. p.s. to any of the individuals who're incredulously asking why we are speaking approximately increasing the age cut back to 21 as though we are a technique or the different stupid for suggesting it (you be responsive to who you're), we are touching on the united kingdom on the united kingdom internet site, the place 18 is the present eating age. So please try having slightly extra of a worldwide attitude than in simple terms what is going on in Kansas.

It's 21 in all of the 50 states, but they are talking about lowering it to 18. They all drink anyway, so I don't see the problem. I do think the driving age should be raised to 18, though.

no, because from the time you leave school at 16 where can you go out and have a good time. Spending time at place with like 13 year olds hanging about is irritating and we are expected to act like adults when we leave school so why not be treated like them. If we are old enough to go and start a career then why not keep it at the age of 18. Even if you raise the age limit up your still going to get prats that when they reach that age act like complete idiots when going out for a drink

The US is one of three countries where the drinking age is 21. In most other countries drinking is a part of growing up. Having a glass of wine with dinner is no big deal.

Men and women are allowed to serve, suffer and die in the military but not allowed to go into a bar and get a beer. I don't encourage drinking but if it is kept out of reach you only want it more.

It's 21 in Colorado, and from my understanding all over the United States- I could be wrong.

I think 21 is fine I mean, people are going to drink regaurdless of an age limit. So why bother?

In Connecticut it is 21. To be honest, I think alcohol is a pretty big demon that only creates a very temporary "good-time" and the after affects and risks that follow it are usually never any good and many times more harmful.
