Thankfully we will never really find out, apart from the Hip-Hop think. I don't think it would have such a big impact on Hip-Hop.

Maybe not that radically different as you might think. It is a fair assumption to say the state of Israel would never have been created. Hitler's final solution would have been likely succesful and burried in secrecy. There would be virtually no Jews left in Europe, and a lot fewer in Russia. A lot of people would not be alive today. But even that may not have lead to a peaceful Middle-East today. I think Israel is often used as a convenient excuse for Arab state leaders to avoid positive reform. The presence of oil and a lack of essential vital resources would still have made the Middle East a tumultuous place.
Even if the U.S. had been beaten back from German soil and Britain and Russia defeated, it's hard to imagine Nazi Germany actually proceeding with an invasion of the U.S. More likely than not, they would have reached some sort of peace agreement with the U.S.
But history has shown that the ideas of Hitler, that you can somehow hold on to empire through force alone, with no regards for the people you're ruling to be completely wrong. Think of the demise of the Soviet union as just one example. While the Whermacht may have been capable of rapid action and fast movement, the territories Hitler thought of keeping for Germany was an unsustainable idea politically. Local populations would have revolted against German rule and Germany would have had to give up ground sooner or later.
Furthermore, there were internal pressures within Germany itself that made this hegemony unlikely to endure. There were growing calls for the removal and/or assassination of Hitler throughout his regime. His system of government was simply not tenable. You can only rule with an iron hand for so long until somebody decides to do you in.
So it would have taken longer and there would have been many more victims of the Nazi insanity, but eventually, such a system would have ended up crumbling on itself. The imperial ambitions of Hitler were simply not realistic.

Being this is a hypothetical question, I'll give you a hypothetical answer- Had Germany won, then we'd be under German control, and the Nazi era might have never ended.
Being that we were also fighting the Japanese, the Japanese might have acquired Hawaii. What it comes down to, is we might be like we are now, with some alterations. I some how doubt, we'd have Hip Hop or that we would've ever had disco. On the same token, we might have never had an embargo against Cuba, nor even the current lack of committement and lack of marriage that we have in the USA.

Hello,

Had Hitler won WWII things would have been hard for the next 20 years or so. However as most of the old guard, ie high ranking Nazi Officials were born in the 1880's to early 1900's all would have died off by the 60's or 70's. Also history has shown that over extended empires ultimately decline on their own and with so many languages, cultures along with new ideas and the great youth disenchantment with society that came along all over the world, I think the reich would have collapsed on its own much like Spain did after Franco died.

Certainly there would have been no Isreal or Middle East conflict as we see today and the fate of the Jews would have been hushed up but perhaps reawakened once the reich was politically no more. Though Hitler thought many other races were inferior, I doubt he would have exterminated them but certainly would have kept them as second class citizens with more menial jobs. Actually black POW's claim they were treated better by German guards than the Southern sheriffs and police back home.

Cheers,

Michael

Europe, Russia, The Middle East and Africa would be called "Deutschreich" and Japan, China, The Pacific-Oceanic Islands, Australia & New Zealand would be "Japanese Empire" and the USA's dominant parties would be the Republicans and the Nazis, as Democrats would have been exiled or killed in political aggression by now.

Hip-Hop would not exist, Hip-Hop would be an insult referred to how Communists (which is all non-Nazis) run from Nazi expansion.

People would live in three forms. Nazi, Civilian and Communist. If you had Blonde hair and Blue Eyes, you were Nazi, if you did not, but were still right-wing and not Jewish, you are a Civilian. If you were not, you were Communist, and an enemy of the state.

Go find yourself a copy of the novel "The man in the High Castle" by Phillip K. Dick. It's 1962 and a decade and a half after the Axis won WWII. The US was divided up between Germany and Japan. Excellent, though creepy, book.

BTW--considering that *jazz* was considered degenerate music in Germany and Japan, I seriously doubt that there'd've been rock & roll, much less hip-hop.

at the start, if international conflict I have been gained by utilising the Germans, WW II could no longer have exceeded off. i've got confidence that we could be residing in a strict totalitarian international, although resistance wars could nevertheless be happening - somewhat in North usa. German human beings could substitute into the 'head' race, extra suitable to all others. it ought to no longer be as undesirable as human beings could think of, although the holocaust and such became certainly terrible, as quickly because it became over lots of the persecution could have ended. Who is attentive to what it may be like - yet i'm confident happy we did no longer ought to discover out.

In all likelihood, it would be a lot like Sparta, but without the saving grace of Spartan compassion for their vanquished enemies (OK, the ancient Spartans weren't exactly compassionate by Geneva Convention standards, but comparatively, they treated the vanquished better than their neighbors).

The most Sparta-like aspect of victorious Germany would be that a small number of "pure race" members would lord over the much, much larger population of slaves. And, like in Sparta, this arrangement would necessitate that Germany remain a highly militarized society indefinitely. Controlling its slave population would be its number one priority, and all other aspects of life -- culture, free market economy, technological innovation, would be subordinated to it. School curricula would be consumed by ideology and combat training, and all higher education, including universities, would be dismantled.

Eventually, the extremely restrictive procreation laws would cause a sharp decline in the population of "Spartiates" -- i.e. pure-bred Arians. (This is exactly what happened in Sparta.) To reverse the trend, the Nazi Germany would have to either relax the definition of "Arian" or allow the "lower races" to migrate into the Arian race if they met certain conditions or restrictions (for example, allow "Arian" men to marry non-Arian women, provided they were white, etc.) This would be the beginning of the end for the Nazi racial purity policies.

Also, since all pure-bred Arian males (and many females, as well) would be obligated to render life-long military service, the Nazi Germany would have to come up with some system for sustaining the economy -- which, as short-lived Nazi experiments proved, cannot be sustained by slave labor alone. Again, I believe Germany would opt for the Spartan solution -- granting non-Arians certain very limited rights to conduct trade, scientific research, etc.

Because Germany would always have to contend with the threat of population decline among the pure-breds, it would maintain aggressive policies aimed at procreation, and probably enact new ones. Abortion and all forms of birth control would certainly be illegal. Ditto homosexuality. Dietary laws would be enacted to promote fertility, and the coercive power of the state would be put to use to compel women to have as many children as possible -- up to and including forced insemination and administration of fertility drugs.

The Final Solution would be completed. It is noteworthy that by 1945, it became illegal to mention it. If Germany had carried the project through, its logical end would be that all mention of Jews would be stricken. Eventually, the Nazi Germany would take the position that, either, the Jews were a mythical people who never actually existed; or that the Jews died out in antiquity.

Infanticide of the weak, retarded, disabled, etc. children would, of course, continue.

Hitler would have hated hip-hop and almost all music written after about 1850. There would be no hip hop, rock, rap, R&B, nothing at all even like it.
Hitler would have demanded the killing or enslavement of all people of color.
He would have banned all religion except his worship of pagan Norse gods.
We would all live in fear of being killed for not living up to his version of politically correct.
And you are worried about hip-hop? Grow up!

Won how? Victory in Europe? Mastery over the World? The only coceivable way for World Domination would have been developement of the A Bomb by 1942 along with rockets to send them flying across the Atlantic.

Going for the Mastery of the World Scenario imagine North Korea - - - Hitler most likely dead since 1965 - - - would be everywhere on Portraits on Stamps on Movie Screens - - - catch Leonardo DeCaprio in 'Das Putch,' the dramatic retelling of Hitler's first abortive drive for power. The world Goverment centered in Berlin now known as GERMANIA keeps the World Population in Check by Occassionally Dropping a Bomb with the words, "Let that be a Warning," and weeks after the Holocaust people are entertained by the Trial of the Conspirators whose foul deeds caused the 'Benevolent' Nazi Party to take such drastic measures.

No Hip Hop - - - - unless deep deep underground. - - - the sound of Nuclear Anihilation caused elation in certain circles when Hitler ordered two of his precious stock of A bombs fired at New York and Washington DC - - - - the earliest Nazi Occupation forces landed in Charlestown South Carolina in 1944 and decided that city made an ideal Capital for their conquest. Since that date there has always been a Resistance Movement across America but its movements have been nearly strangled by 2007. During the intervening years the Nazis have managed to win over that critical 33 % of the population needed to hang on even when civil unrest rears its head. The Nazis 'had' to punnish the Americans twice, unleashing nuclear bombs on St Lake City Utah and Boise Idaho, and no one truly feels that the Pacific Northwest is all that pacisfied even though Genuine German Nazis clamour for the privillege of being posted to Hitlerburg the City built where Everett once was, Hitlerburg built to over shadow Seattle and Tacoma and indeed Hitlerberg is the big City of the Northwest. Vancouver renamed Goebbelsburg is equally bstling with trade from Germany;s number one Trading Partner, the Japanese Empire.
With their Victorius Partner, the Jpanese carved up the World, ending the cobflict with China with several Atomic Bombs, holding power with the threat of dropping more, like the four they plopped on Australia ending their resistance during the Summer of '46. The Phillipines a fiefdom of Japan, a bleak industrial quagmire stripped of resources for the benefit of their over loards.

Regimented lives devoted to the Cult of Hitler, and the Leading Nazi's / / polkas and waltzes, dreary regimented fun, terrific Oktoberfest Parties, and lots of Holidays; Party Day, Hitler's Birthday, Boorman;s Borthday as befitting the Second Fuhrer, Speer the third and longest reigning Fuhrer's Birthday, Goring's Birthday (it was his insistence on rocket development that secured victory), Atomic Day Europe celebrating the day the bomb was dropped on London, Atomic Day America the double whammy when Washington and New York were leveled, and other days devoted to parades and marching.

A peculiar developement after sixty plus years of Nazi rule people have oddly developed right arm muscles. Oh and German is the language of the World with Gothe and Nietze and Wagner required reading.
I won't begin to say what happened to the undesirables or how many would be left by 2007...

Peace..............................
