I fell last Friday (5 days ago) and the last few days the wound has been secreting this awful pus and now it hurts really bad to even stand on it. I aleady know it's infected because of the pus but when should I go to the doctor and why is it hurting so bad?

The wound is on my knee and is relative size. And... I have been cleaning it and using peroxide a few times a day! I am that smart... also.. I'm allergic to neosporin so I can't use anything like that.

You should call the doctor immediately. Ask him/her when you should be seen. They will also be able to tell you what you can do at home to prevent the infection from spreading until you can be seen.
Most likely you will need to be treated with antibiotics.

You didn't tell us what kind of wound it is honey, or how big or bad it is. If it just a small thing like on the hand, you can probably get away with home remedies and bandages. If the wound is larger than the tip of your thumb I would suggest seeing a doctor. A wound of that size or larger (depending on where on the body it is) can still lead to a dangerous infection that can affect other parts of your body too once it gets into your blood.

where is the wound? Pour some peroxide on it it will fiz up but they helps clean out the germs from it. I would have went to the Dr. when I first fell. So if you can get an appointment today, try to. Good luck!

you need to clean it with soap and water as much as it hurts.Put some alcohol or peroxide on it.It is inflamed and infected from the how it sounds.Neosporin is also a great thing to try once youve got the oozing to stop.So dry it up first then put that neo on there. If it's becoming a overwhelming concern and you can't do anything because of it.
Go see your doctor.

It is hurting because of the infection, try using peroxide on it that always cleans the wound and takes away the pain for me

dont mess with infections such as this....it can get ugly..bathe it asap in warm salt water....then dry..apply tea tree oil..or some kind of anitseptic...do it now and then go to the doctor for anitbiotics...
it can spread..i dont want to scare you..but pus filled wounds are serious if not treated promptly and properly..wish you all the best

you need to clean the affected are with soap and water. Followed by some preoxide. Dont use any antibiotic sab if theres pus that will trap it in and make the infection worse. let it drain as much as possible. if you need it close wrap it with loose gauze.
