be happy that she earns so much...
and pity him for getting jealous...
why should it matter WHO get more money, a relationship is a partnership... unless you are one of those idiots who gets emasculated by something so trivial and INSISTS on male/female stereotypes... :D

I earn about double of what my boyfriend earns. I earned more than my ex-husband too. I don't think it really matters. My ex couldn't manage money if his life depended on it. My boyfriend is very good at managing money. I'm surprised at what he can do with what he makes. If you are married the money should be going together to make the household run anyways. As long as the bills are being paid and there is food on the table and the kids have clothes. Does it really matter who earns more?

i used to earn more than my husband for several years in the beginning of our marriage , thou he put up a good face on this , he had an affair with his colleague . He never admitted why he did it but i know for sure it was for his "self-esteem" . This ***** at office was good at ego-massage . Several years later now im a stay at home mom and he couldnt be happier . As like before he doesnt admit it thou !!. MEN (sigh). There's wisdom in what our grannies said ........man has to be the frontrunner for a successful marriage. Frankly speaking there are very few real men out there who can digest that there's wives earn more than them and not have a ego problem with it. Actually......there are none. Period.

Well, it depends on if she flaunts it in his face to humiliate him or not. She could take the extra earnings and put into savings or invest it for the futre. Live off their equal earnings knowing that the extra is there for future home or college education for any children. This way, the husband is still the equal for current living conditions. If they need the savings for emergencies, it will be there for them but not necessary for everyday living.

well there could be a fight of who owns what. The husband will most likely have to quit his job and watch the kids if there are any. The wife will think of herself as the boss and pretty much there might be a divorce.

Should only be an issue to a neanderthal.
Advantages: more income.
Disadvantages: stone age husband spends time on YA asking about why the relationship will fail.

Depends on the couple. When my husband and I were first married, he was enlisted in the army and I made almost double his salary. Then when his enlistment was up, he took a job in the private sector and doubled mine!
We divided up the bills proportionately to how much money we were bringing into the household.
All couples handle money differently, no matter who makes it.

I earn more than my fiance, we split the rent equally and I pay one bill more than he does, then we pool the rest of our money, we share it, who cares who earned what? It's all the same to us. It's worth adding that he is training on the job as a chef (notoriously badly paid anyway) and his wage will increase as he progresses, but for now i am the higher earner.

In the situation like this, the wife will be hostile in the affairs of the family. since the husband cannot boast of the income he generates. Notwithstanding, fewer women respect the man regardless of their level of income.
The Bible said, let the wife be submissive to her husband in all things wether money or not.

Usually men will get low self esteem for whatever reason.
Rather in some cases it gives confidence to wife and if husband really loves his wife he is happy to see his wife so confident & it makes him proud.

Nothing will happen, life will go on and you will have a comfortable lifestyle. It doesn't matter who makes the most money in a relationship, it only matters that you do the right thing with it.
