Hi all! I am just wondering how much (approx.) I need to budget to travel to Europe for around 4 weeks, visiting abt 5 or so countries. That is, staying in relatively lower cost accomodation (however still needs to be decent- any1 know where I can find this type of accomm?)
Your input is appreciated!

If you travel alone stay in hostels, you share a room with 4 or more others, but you pay much less, and on top of that you get into contact with a lot of others easily.
If you travel with 2 or more, cheap hotels often do not cost a lot more. (But you will still need to share the bathroom with strangers.)

Buy a good guidebook to see where to stay.
I prefer Lonely planet, also good info on what to do, where to eat and how to get to places. All with price info that was correct when the books when to the printer.
You can also find a lot of this info on Internet, but do so before you travel, as underway printing will be a problem.

You can still travel for $100 a day, even less if you stick to the bare minimum, but $150 gives you a good budget, allowing you to eat out for most dinners and lunches, seeing all the famous sites and the odd luxury.
That is in Western Europe.
Eastern countries are cheaper.

Best budget your money per day, allow yourself 1/40 of your whole budget per day for the first week, after a week, see if you are still on budget, if so, spend all the extra in one luxury, or go to the top of the Eiffel tower where your budget would only allow you to walk around its foot.

Sorry to assert, $20 consistent with day inn rooms do no longer exist in Europe to my know-how, a minimum of no longer interior the international locations you indexed. fairly in June that's the initiating of intense vacationer season.
