Extremely!!!

I am always going to be of the opinion that everything has change. There are friends we all have that make choices, or changes that we may or may not agree with. But that doesn't mean we don't still value their friendship.

Or family members that go against what the majority of the rest of the family believe in. That doesn't mean that we love them any less or consider them to be an outcast.

I think its so unfortunate when people have a closed mind and refuse to see a change as anything but "wrong". I wish that everything in the world would always be peaches and cream and we would never have fault with anyone or anything. But it simply just isn't so. One of my favorite quotes, "Life's about change, and nothing ever stays the same."

Given that, I am a born and raised southern gal. Regardless of who is our president, what laws will pass or what laws are thrown out, or (Sad as it is) how high our gas prices and taxes have to get, I am now and will always be extremely proud of our red, white and blue!!!

I was becoming politically aware (13 yrs, old) at the time Nixon resigned from presidency. It was very common that everyone, including politicians were very jaded and skeptical regarding all politicians. The government was the bad guy.
I went into High School and realized we are supposed to be the government, but being lazy we had given control to a few willing to do the dirty work as long as they let us keep our stuff.
After traveling different spots in the world and becoming more active in our government, I have come to know we truly live in the greatest country ever in the history of man!
We are very flawed and do many bad things, to this day, but there truly is no place better!
Our government on paper is perfect; we just need to get back to practicing what it is supposed to be, rather than letting some greedy corrupt guys pervert the truth of the Constitution.

Yes I'm proud of the Red, White and Blue in the Union Jack. Although people get offended in this country if you fly it (like that stops me). And it's good to see so many USA residents proud of your flag colours too.

I was until King George took the helm, now I'd say I'm more embarrassed than proud, other countries used to look up to us, now they're laughing at us. November 2008 cannot come quick enough. Hopefully the new chief will be able to clean up Georgie's mess and get things back on track again. We can only be thankful, in this case at least, that presidents can only serve 2 consecutive terms, and I wish they would change that stupid electoral college nonsense and let the popular vote winner be the new president .

I'm not proud of it. Pride is sticking your chest out and saying look at us, we are better than you. I love the USA, I am thankful and blessed to have been born an american citizen. I am forever greatful to the people who have made it strong, the men and women in uniform who gave their lives to protect our freedom, the founding fathers of this great nation and the bravery to fight to be free from the U.K., the people who have given up everything to make the United States a country that reaches out to help other countries even if we are hated by them or if they have forgotten what we have done for them in the past. Look at WWII, many countries would be under Nazi rule today is not for the thousands of 18+ year old men and women who fought to gain their freedom back. And everyone who has worked to make this country what it is today, I thank you.
