You may be eligible for partial unemployment if your gross pay is under what you would have received on unemployment; however, you would only be eligible for the difference between what you earned at your part-time job and what you would have received on unemployment. You would have to report your gross earning every week and would still need to look for full time employment.
Contact your local unemployment office for complete details and always accurately report everything you make; as indicated above, if you collect funds that you are not entitled to and it is discovered, not only will you have to repay the funds, but you could also be charged criminally for fraud.

Because there was a space of time when you were not employed - either part-time or otherwise, you are entitled to unemployment benefits from the day you were unemployed until the day you started a new job. BUT you MUST notify your local unemployment office of your status. This will not just slip under the table a go away. At the end of the year when tax season rolls around you will be "found out"., as your employer and the Dept. of Unemployment will report all monies distributed to the IRS!

NO, the only time you should collect unemployment is for the time you were NOT
working, if you worked for those weeks claimed on the check ( look @ dates on the blue slip that
is attached to check) then you should NOT be paid from unemployment , if you are claiming for weeks that you were out of work then that is ok.

I know in the UK you can face a criminal record. Technically it's fraud.
Have you not signed off your unemployment benefit yet? You need to do that as a priority, and if they send you any more checks, do not cash them - take them back to the office and make sure you get a receipt for returning them!!!!
It doesn't matter whether the amount was $0.01 or $1,000,000 - if it's money you're not entititled to, don't cash the check!!

If you only received 2 checks and was not working at that time you are fine and do not need to pay it back. That is what is called back pay! and they do hold you back a week .

Working and drawing unemployment checks is FRAUD. Notify your unemployment office when you started, number of hours being worked, they will tell you what if anything else you need to do. Protect yourself, notify them and do it Today.
Good luck
