It's actually a hindrance to me. My typing skills have gone down due to my medication, so typing out even 50 words is tough for me.

Typing is fun for children and some teenagers. I think adults will think nothing is fun with typing.

I actually practiced an hour and a half a day 8 years ago for 2 week in a row because I knew that eventually computers would be everywhere and so I gave myself the challenge to learn how to type fast enough without having to see da keyboard...Well I succeeded and now I can go in a chatroom for example and be able to follow along fast enough with secretaries ---LOL \\\ It actually fascinates me to see how we can program our mind and imprint a memory in our brain dat allows us to do this without even having to think about it while we do it! I mean I am not thinking right now as to what letter I have to find , my fingers know exactly where to go. Amazing isnt it?

The actual typing itself isn't always fun (like exercising), but the results can be outstanding.

For me, typing is a necessity, since when I'm writing, I lose my train of thought doing it longhand, and voice-recorders are out because of the noise (well, you ARE talking) and I tend to get ahead of myself. Typing stories goes about the right speed for me. To see what I'm talking about, go to my 360 page and check out some of the writings. There's something there for everybody.

So to answer your question: It's not always fun, but I do like the results.

I can't say I'd call typing fun - so probably think nothing of it.

It's one of the few things I've learnt in school that I can actually use! I type 80 wpm and it helped me in in my work as a secretary, working on the computer, preparing my lessons, etc. I believe typing at my speed is quite good, so I'm kinda proud!

What is it about typing that is fun? I love it. How many words per minute do you type?

It's ok, I often prefer typing to writing normally cus it's not as messy and it's easy to change what you type. It's nice to see how over time your typing improves and becomes more natural.
