Yes, the tablet door didn't open. Leave the tablet door open and put the machine on a quick wash.

It could be that you need to clean your dishwasher.
There is a drain in the base of most dishwashers that filters all the big blobs of yuk out of the water. If this becomes full the water flow around the machine is reduced and the tablet door doesn't open until later in the cycle. Clean the filter out and wash it in warm soapy water.
Have a look at the rotary washers as well. Using a needle or a knife make sure there is no debris in the ends of the rotary bits.
Go to your supermarket and on the shelves where the dishwasher tablets are there are also dishwasher cleaners. These are little bottles that you put in the dishwasher when empty and run a cycle.
Buy dishwasher salt too. Although most tablets contain salt your dishwasher will still work best with salt in the machine too.
Once you've done all this I'm sure it'll work better!
Let me know?

Just throw it in the bottom of the dishwasher. It doesn't necessarily have to be in the tablet compartment. See if that dissolves. If not, it must be the brand of dishwasher tablet.

Does this happen all the time or just the one time? It could be that you had a large item close to the tablet door which prevented it from opening properly.

Use regular dishwashing powder, rather than the tablets.

Maybe you should put the tablet in spoon&fork rack. And check the salt content. The blue indicator should always be visible.
