I live in a sub-tropical tourist area so there are lots of places open and lots of things to do. Anything from "fine" dining to shows, to music (bands, singers) to fireworks, places to hang out like the beach, quaint stores, museums, things to do. I like the restaurants that are at the top of hotels and office buildings. Some of them just have a nice view (especially of the sunsets), but others turn once an hour or so and show you the entire city. Atmosphere is important and fun. There are noisy restaurants and secluded restaurants.

I live in a large city, but with a backwards mentality... Philadelphia... The restaurants and cafes are open semi-late, but the shops close quite early... It is both a charming and a strange place to live...

there is night life but it is usually rather quiet during weekdays. It's only weekends or fri nites that are quite noisy. Though usually i'm dead tired to go out to hang out with friends during weekdays
