When ya'll head to shopping for school clothes, casually enter the undies department and pick out a couple of bras, then show them to your mum and ask her if she thinks they are the correct size. Mum has been through this before herself, so she knows how uncomfortable you are in asking about a bra, but she knows you are growing up and will help you in any way she can.
I know how you feel about school chums who make fun, kids can be cruel. I had a similar experience when I was 13.

well first of all there are many bra's that you could wear for example a training bra which are similar to crop tops and also similar to sports bra they are just mainly there for comfort. Don't listen to these people in school I went through the same as i was also flat chested and still am slightly compared to others my own age as I am now 16!
And also, just come clean to your mum there is nothing wrong with it, it is completely normal! I'm pretty sure that your mum went through this at some stage! Just tell her you would like to go shopping with her she will be thrilled that you have asked her to be part of it rather than go behind her back for something so simple!
Good Luck

Sydnie? Is that you? And uh...your 9. Not 13.
And if your not Sydnie and you really are 13, here is my answer:
Just tell the girl that asked you why you weren't wearing a bra, "Maybe it's a good thing that I am developing later than you. Maybe you'll grow up with a size 54DDD. And I will be a nice size, like 34C." And about your mom, just tell her, "Hey Mom, I think I am ready for my first bra." That's what I did. And my mom said, "Ok. I think there are some pretty ones at Limited Too." I asked her when we were in the car going to the mall, so I figured it was a good time to ask. And besides, what is your mom gonna do to you if you ask her. It's not like she's going to ground you or get mad. Trust me. Just ask her.
Hope this helped...<3

Don't be embarrased, 13 is a good age to start wearing a bra. If she says no (which is prolly unlikely) ask to wear a sports bra because it's embarrasing at school. Anyways that girl shouldn't be looking lol.Try Ignoring the people at school who are going to embarrass you, they prolly have something there worried about too.
Good luck xx

right, listen to me now. im going into yr 10 in september, and last year I too was really caught up worrying about it. i decided to say nothing to my mum, and then one day she just said to me " i think we should take you into m&s and get you some new underwear, like a bra" i am really flat chested, and im a yr old than u! i only started wearing a bra like 1/2 way throuh yr 9, and i was like the only one who hadnt got one yet - same as u! im still really flat chested, like 32aa! literally, just ask you mum "Mum, I was wondering if I should start wearing a bra, as all the other girls in my year wear one, and one girl has teased me about not wearing one." SHE WILL UNDERSTAND. seriously, dont worry, the girl who was nasty to you is just a nasty ***** - immature and stupid. what goes round comes round, and someday it will be your turn to be "better" than her (though why she thinks wearing a bra automatically gives her the right to pick on other people, i don't know - maybe she is a bit confused.........)
DONT WORRY ABOUT IT. if u havent got one when u go back to school, wear a t-shirt under ure school clothes on p.e days, thats what i used to do. or a strappy top. or maybe if ure mum says ure not ready to wear a bra yet, get a soft sort of crop top thing. please dont worry, chill out and also don;t stress about your SATs cos they dont mean anything!
hope this helps! x

You're just developing differently than other girls. You should try a training bra. These fit even if you don't have much up top. And they also make many that look like regular bras.

Just tell her the truth and come out and ask. It is hard when this happens because some girls were like that with me when I was 13. I didn't really stat to develop in that area until I was 14 which was after I had already started my periods. Bodies are funny things when they are developing.

I developed slowly and my mum got me a sports bra. Its was pretty much a crop top that I could wear and not feel embaressed. How about show her all the answers you get on here and asking her which one she thinks is best??
By the way, I'm now a 36C. You'll get there.

please explain to your mum she will understand. My daughter is 8 years and some of her freinds wear bras. Kids are cruel and will find any way to pick on others that are different. It does not matter if you have nothing to put in it. you can get some really pretty vest tops too that could be another option for you.
