Yes, I had to do it once. A woman put a .44 magnum under my chin and I gave her an uppercut to the jaw. She collapsed instantly and regained conciousness about a minute or two later. Anytime anyone is trying to take your life you have the right to defend yourself even if you have to use deadly force. Even if you live somewhere that it is not legal, wouldn't you rather be alive than dead?

If someone, ANYONE, is trying to kill you, you have the right to defend yourself by any means necessary. Have you seen the statistics on violent crimes committed by women these days in the US? A large part of the "new" prison population in the US in the past decade has been women. Not saying the reason this isn't because we didn't tired of men's crap, and then **** hit the fan! But when it comes to YOUR life, and staying alive, do whatever you have to do. There is no reason to be mortally wounded just because you were being attacked by a woman! That is just silly. Besides, if people were just taught not to physically harm each other, this would be SO much less of a problem. Can anyone say "duh?"

If you could prove that it was self defence then this would be an absolute defence for hitting someone in the face. If it were me in that situation I suppose I would not only stop at punching in the face I would probably go further. But definitely you would have to show that you felt your life was in jeopardy and you thought you were going to be killed.

Self defense really depends o your country and your region. In the UK you have basically no right to self defense. If you punched her you would probably do time.
I live in Oklahoma/Texas USA. In this region the notion of self reliance and the right to defend yourself from harm is still held highly. We do not think it is wrong to fight back. So you would probably be all right here.

Whilst it is true that it depends on where you live as to what you can do, REASONABLE force is legal everywhere. I'd say incapacitating her in such a way would be considered reasonable - however it is true that for instance in the UK shooting her with her own gun, even if she was just wounded (after she was disarmed) for instance would probably mean you were punished.

Self defense is valid when there is murder because it is an unlawful attack which must be repelled.
