If you have a restless sleep, you will wake up feeling tired. We are supposed to have at least 7 hours deep sleep.
Restless sleep can happen if you have gone to bed taking issues from the day with you, or if you feel unwell.
My advice would be to try to wind down before you go to bed, have a bath, don't drink anything that has caffeine in it, sit with low lighting, try reading a book as that tires the eyes and takes your mind off problems you may be thinking through.
You can always try sleeping pills to help you sleep, these are not harmful if you ask for a light dose and it will guarantee you have a sound sleep. Hope I helped :0)

The quality of your sleep was not good. Could you have sleep apnea? If someone sleeps with you, ask if they notice that you stop breathing during the night and snore loudly. It's a serious condition that can result in heart problems and extreme tiredness during the day. You could wake up a lot during the night from noises (animals, cars, other people) and not know about it. Interrupted sleep can cause you to be tired. You could have any number of sleep problems and a sleep study will be your best resource.

Do you have a partner who snores?... I say that because my one does and I did,nt realise how much he kept me awake until I was feeling really poorly and had to sleep in a seperate bed for a couple of nights and although I was quite ill I felt like I had had a really good nights sleep and got better a lot quicker.

There are so many possible reasons for this, some of which have already been given.
Clearly, you need expert advice. Your local GP will be able to put you in contact with specialists in this field.
Remember, also, that people differ in constitution. I, for instance,
tend to come to life at night, but am good for nothing before 10 am.
