I think it would make more sense
after all you are technically an adult and
out on your own at 18 if you can vote buy smokes and
be able to be eligible for war than I think
that drinking should be included.

well where i am the drinking age is 18. my friends and i were pretty responsible when it came to drinking. our parents let us drink from about the age of 16 but they would buy us alcohol and it was limited.
although, where i live there is a pretty big club scene and A LOT of bad things happen. our main problem is girls getting raped, sexually assaulted, brawls and people drunk in the streets.
If you want to lower the legal age of drinking you need to make sure that education comes with it and people understand the risks associated with it. We also have a .00 blood alcohol concentrate for probationary drivers. So if you are 18 and get your license and start drinking, if you have a drop of alcohol in your system then you get done for drink driving.

Nope 18. The second a young man or woman joins the military they should be able to have every right on this planet period. Any kid that signs up to go open a can of whoop-as s while I am fishin and watch my back has my vote, I watched theirs. Soldiers yes, civilian minors NO.

I think they should they should not use age as the criteria. They should use your life situation. For example, if you have a job, paying taxes, married, have kids, or in the military, then you should be able to drink regardless of your age. If you are still in school, HS or college, then you should not be able to drink alcohol unless you meet one of the above criteria.
