Why can't we pass a bill to exile prisoners such as death row inmates and those facing life in prison, to the Moon and Mars? Now that 61 moons have been discovered in our Solar System and some 165 planetary bodies in the Milky Way Galaxy. There, prisoners can be productive by building outposts for future generations. Recall that much of Australia was built by prisoners during the 1800's.

My ancestors came from Ireland to help build the rail roads in NSW they were not convicts however they work to make a life in Australia it was more then Convicts that made Australia it was families looking for a life to raise their families and have a new start

Did you see the Twilight Zone episode where men are imprisoned on asteroids. One man to an asteroid. I always thought this was crazy because of the expense of transporting them there and bringing them supplies.

Exile to space, mmm. Sounds good, till ya think about how much it'd cost. Wouldn't it just be easier to incinerate them and save the reentry fee?

It would cost a lot of money and time. Prisoners would need a lot of training to go into space, to build what they need to build, to bring all of them to there.
