An international committee of the World Meteorological Organization.

They produce alphabetical lists to name each strom starting with A, B, c, etc. They produce six lists and use them for six years then go back to list one. But, if a certain Hurricane becomes infamous, they will come up with a new name. So as an example, Hurricane Katrina will not be used again.

Atlantic tropical storms have been named from lists originated by the National Hurricane Center since 1953. Originally, the names were all female. However, in 1979, male names were also included in the lists.

The experts who work in the natural disaters organisation name them in an alphabetical order. For instance they started with A then B exetera and after Z they start back at A using everyday names
