It's a known fact that there is at least a 300% mark up on retail clothing. Outrageous!! Your money pays for the design, making, packing, shipping, display and service that surrounds the industry BUT, when you think of the amount of clothing produced and the vast numbers of shirts etc. sold, somebody is making a lot of money and others are getting paid as little as their employer can get away with. I say buy local. Clothes made in the same city/country as you are at least paying the wages of your neighbours. Waiting for sales and shopping in 'nearly new' stores can get you some good threads for much less. Being creative with your style, and check that you are choosing your clothes well will help keep the overall costs down.

bite me i would never pay $70 for a shirt.
$30 is pushing it at times for me lol
i'm not cheap either just a thrifty smart shopper
i like jc pennys arizona brand
i'm still young enough that i can shop juniors. i don't find a lot in misses or ladies.
i think people that spend that money (unless really wealthy) are just trying too hard to fit in and click with what the media and celebs deem as it or in
i prefer to be myself and be comfy. if i can get a tshirt for $12 and it looks just like one from a boutique or "celebrity brand" like sean jean or apple bottom or jlo why the heck would i pay $75 for it just to put more money in their pockets? or to show how ohhh cool i am cus i have a name across my shirt or jeans or whatever the case may be
i'll take my $6 old navy flip flops
my 2 for $12 arizona tshirts
and $15 levis jeans
and look just as cute if not cuter than these over priced fashion victims lol

Because they cover up your privates and are considered necessary. You can reduce the cost by avoiding name brands and lables. Also, show a second hand thrift storess.
