"You have nothing in your hands." - Rice/Webber

For the sun shall rise in the east, and rain, fall to the ground, as they always have, and this too shall continue as a matter of course, for all eternity long after we're gone, to remind us of our nothingness in the grand scheme of things, and that we are but an insignificant dot in the universe.

Definitely conservatist. Not even liberal. Judging by the quotation alone, he is closed to anything that will even cause a ripple in the established order. For him, the existing system is inviolate.

He is the antithesis of change. He is the very opposite of those who would portray man as he who moulds the world as per his imagination.

He would oppose the invention of the wheel if this would somehow upset Order.

He is against the masses, therefore anti-socialist, because in the present Order the masses are beholden to the people who are in the top, and are forever struggling to better their lives.

He is the Captain of the Preatorians, and would come down hard on anyone who questions the Order, with a blazing sword of self-righteousness.

I just love the man.

there are simple interpretations here. go with the flow. don't rock the boat. it talks about confirmation to what everybody else expects of you. that's what i think they mean by status quo. you were born to an existing system. it's like the food chain. small animals get eaten by the big ones. it's how it's been and "should" always be. you don't expect small animals to eat a lion/alligator don't you? however, there are people who are not satisfied with how things are done. when they feel change is needed, they exert effort to do so. how they do it is another matter.

Organized chaos theory?
In order to be a part of society, you have to go with the flow. The world is built as it is. It's our job to become a part of it. Or build a new part of it. But we do not change what the world is.

The world runs as it is. It shouldnt be run in a different way.

I think it means;
The power and majesty of this earth is far greater than any ideal man can create, this miracle planet exist by such a powerful string of rare coincidences, that if it is great enough to do that, then it is we that must learn the ways of earth and not waste our time trying to enforce our wills on such a powerful creature as PLANET EARTH. :)

...In this quote he is telling us that what we perceive as control is an illusion. We cannot control the world, for it functions as it always has and always will - regardless of our existence. The only way for us to function in harmony with our world is to let go of our need to control, our need to organize and categorize and manipulate. To put it simply, he is telling us, "Just go with the flow".

let no man put his hands on what God has created. men should learn to live with what earth has to offer.
men has altered the world too much, look at what's happening to our weather, it's getting freakier and freakier by the minute.
cloning is also another issue.

that means we came into this world and should adapt to it instead of changing it.

the world is bigger and mightier than any of us or all of us combined. we are transients and we should not change the house of our host.

Learn to live with things that are there. If there's something many people are doing and you hate it, try to ignore it because if you try to stop it, you will be the one hated.
