This is a common problem in women after pregnancy, you dont need to worry. What you need to do is do more or abdominal excercies which increase your muscle strength. After a month or so still if it drips, then go see your doctor.

A weakened pelvic floor (pelvic floor muscles) from childbirth. this is quite normal and you should have been advised by your midwife to do Kegel exercises straight after childbirth and continuing for as long as advised to. You just need to start doing these and things should hopefully improve.
You can do these anytime of day and they will strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. Do them regularly and they should strengthen all the muscles down there. Also, take get a herb called Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) from your health store. Because it is rich in silica it strengthens all connective tissue so can help strengthen the bladder wall.

Some info on doing Kegels, check out these pages:

Uses for Horsetail:
Antioxidant, antibacterial, antioxidant, astringent, bladder disturbances, bleeding, brittle fingernails, cancer, cosmetics, cystic ulcers, diabetes, dropsy, fever, fluid in the lungs, frostbite, gonorrhea, gout, hair loss, hepatitis, itch, kidney disease, kidney stones, leg swelling, liver protection, malaria, menstrual pain, nosebleeds, prostate inflammation, styptic (to stop bleeding cuts on the skin), Reiter's syndrome, rheumatism, stomach upset, thyroid disorders, tuberculosis, urinary incontinence, urinary tract infection (UTI), urinary tract inflammation, wound healing.

Also: drink cranberry juice. it keeps the bladder healthy and helps reduce both the likelihood of UTIs and also cystitis. If you don't like the juice you could take capsules of the extract or eat dried cranberries.

I suggest talking to your doctor about this so that you can do the exercises under medical supervision to see if things improve for you and also the doctor might have some additional advice and recommendations.

Hope this helps.
Best wishes.

Women's bladders weaken during pregnancy and child birth. You can correct it somewhat by doing the Kegil exercises they taught you to do in Lamaze class. That will help significantly, but I'm sad to say that your bladder will most likely not go back to being completely normal. You will notice at times, like when you sneeze or cough that you will leak small amounts of urine due to uncontrollable bladder muscles. If the kegil exercises don't work after a couple of months, you can see your OBGYN about prescribing a bladder control medicine such as Detrol LA. I used it for awhile after the birth of my 3 son and it helped get me back to almost normal. It's just one of those wonderful things you give up when you have a child..*lol* Good luck, I still pee on myself when I sneeze sometimes, OH! and forget bouncing on a trampoline...*lol*!

That happens a lot. Go to your dr. They used to just prescribe pelvic floor exercises, but now they are getting serious and actually prescribing medications (or in extreme cases surgery) to help. Don't be embarrassed. It is super common.
