I had a Hysteroscopy done on August 3 to remove a cervix polyp. I should have gotten my period on August 12, and still nothing, I haven't had any intercourse. My periods have been always on time. I am 40 years old and we are also ttc. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

Yes, the period can be delayed for a bit by the procedure. But you may notice something called breakthrough bleeding over the next couple weeks or so. This bleeding can act a lot like a menstrual period. It is normal to have this because the uterus is trying to heal from the procedure.

Please get in touch with your doctor as well to see what they say.

And yes, I have had a hysteroscopy and had my periods get messed up some because of it. I had one done in 1999 to check for additional polyps because of one found at the top of my cervix that year.
