I'm not satisfied with his performance, the secrecy and over all leadership has been problematic at best.
The bridge you mention however is a good example, of some of the things it is not reasonable to blame him for.
I think we've taken a bad direction, fixing it will be so hard some of the people that despise bush now, will look back on his time in office as the good old days. Not because they have been, but because getting out of this hole is going to be down right painful.

His administration is a mixed bag at best.I agree that he was wrong about Iraq in 2003, but then again, Bill (and Hillary) Clinton said the same things in 1998 and Al Gore said the same things in 1992, so they were just as wrong, although irrational Bush haters such as the DailyKos dumbkopfs, and people like Bill Maher, Keith Olbermann, Al Franken, and Robert Greenwald lack the intellectual honesty to admit that. He was actually correct about the fact that the Social Security System needs reform, since it is about 8 or 9 years away from starting to run deficits which will eventually kill the system before anyone under the age of 40 can collect anything from it. His plan of privatizing the system would have likely produced the same revenue infusion for the system that the Gingrich-Clinton deficit reduction in the 90's increased General Fund revenue by reducing the amount of investment capital going into government debt, which was directed into the private sector and produced the revenue spike of 2000. His Medicare program worked better than I thought it would, and it's interesting that a lot of veterans are moving away from the VA coverage to being covered by the Bush Medicare plan. His increases in domestic spending were terrible ideas though. I give him a D+ as a grade which makes him better than his father (F) and Jimmy Carter (F+), but not as good as Ronald Reagan (A-), Gerald Ford (B), Bill Clinton (B-), or Richard Nixon (C)

What the h*ll did Bush have to do with a bridge collapsing, a mine cave in, or 9/11?? The economy? You're kidding! With people like you who believe any and everything the media or the democrats have to say, this country is in BIG trouble! In the event Hillary is elected, how dare her allow a bridge or mine collapse! It's impeachable!! Apparently, we can prove to you that we're not sexist by voting for Hillary. Right? Well, I'd rather be called sexist than dumb!

If you were to read the short histories of all the President's in the encyclopedias . you would find out Bush is by far the worst President in American history. The war was a loss even before it actually got started . I an angry with the way he has treated our troops not to mention the rest of us . He and all of his staff are the biggest crooks ever to be in office , he is bankrupting this country for his own pleasure. Don't be fooled at anything good he tries to do before he leaves office as he is only trying to leave a legacy as having tried to do good though I doubt he will be remembered for anything but "EVERYTHING " he has done wrong , and as the worst President , As to Hillary Clinton we plan to vote for her , she has best record for caring about people , she knows the laws of the land , has lived in the White House for eight years and watched and listened to all that went on , has been a good Senator for NY , and we have to remember the former President will always be there for advice , she has things covered very well and only want to get America back on track .

While you are at it, blame Bush for each and every car accident since he was elected. That proves he is a failure, right?
Just because YOU think he is the worst president ever doesn't mean enough people thought he was better than a Democrat to win a second term.

Bush,G.W. will go down in history as one of the best. He helped keep the ecconomy up,after the bombing of the trade center. He also helped by protecting our butts from any more attacks. He stopped al quidas openly from training terriost in afganistan. He went before congress [ with the same info. the democrats had] they voted to go into iran. when the going got tough the democrats wimped out. they started trying and laying it all on bush. the liberal left news started to propagandize the bleeding hearts.that it was bushs fault.they thenstarted to to make us loose by trying to bad mouth the war and cuting funds for our military. The far left started trying to stop our recruiters from being located in schools. The democrat party has done every thing they can to make the U.S.A.look bad in the world. Now that they control congress the ecconomy is falling rapidly.

Funny how the Peacniks want to blame Bush for everything.
Sounds like history repeating itself.Everyone hated Nixon for Watergate but before that when he lowered the voting age to 18 and promised to end Vietnam , he was a god and the Peaceniks elected him.

President Bush has done his best, even with all of the experts like you arm chair quarterbacking what he did or didn't do or if he is the worst. The man has more backbone than all of these other poor excuses for candidates put together.
They always talk a good game and then vapor lock sooner or later. Why Ms. Clinton is running, I dont know, I do know she is just wasting her money.

Our Warmonger-in-THIEF is clearly the **worst** President in all of American history. And the worst mass-murderer the world has experienced since Pol Pot. Thank heaven he'll be gone after 2008, and then we can begin undoing at least SOME of the horrific damage he's done to us, and to the world!
