I have often wondered how real the YAPpers are.

If I were to invite and host a salad and bread lunch in Tagaytay on a Sunday, would people actually come? Of course I refer only to the Luzon-based members, or those from Vis-Min who would be so interested they might fly to join.

I always host salad and bread lunches for friends on the weekends. It is usually with only 1 set of people, a group, at any one time.

The salad I serve is like the salad at Sonya's garden - - - greens with fruits as garnishings (langka, chico, papaya, mango, and then I have grated parmesan, olives and capers). bread is with choices of dips - - pesto, white cheese, anchovies, etc.

I host this in my vacation house, an American style farm house with a wraparound veranda.

I am transparent. I do not try to hide my weaknesses,

I want to join you this Sunday but it's the natal day of my father.

Thanks a lot for the opportunity, I am eager to meet everybody in person. (to scare them away) lol

Cheers.

Very often people have different persona on the internet and in real life. I have not really met any YAPpers yet but I started meeting people on the IRC some 10yrs back and today I am proud to say that those that really turned up have become my closest friend.

We have not met up very often these days due to work commitments but we are at the call of each other when the need arises.

My BEST Friend are from the Internet!

I would like to meet you too. I'll be in the Philippines 12-25 October 2007 and for sure one of those days, we will be going to Tagaytay. If you're serious on this, we could meet since I am considering to buy a house in Tagaytay. I'm from Batangas so I am near to you...

Cheers!

i really would like to come, but since i am miles away from that tagaytay in which require me to buy ticket, instead I'll just buy salad and bread plus chicken and all other stuff. I'll share it to my Family and cherish our time together before i flew back to Chicago.

But then your intentions are quite good, I'll come the next time I'll visit Phils... meanwhile, enjoy your salad party...

Your invitation is very tempting and yes I'd love to come and show my real me and meet all the wonderful yappers.....if only I'm not in Houston, TX. As it is now, I can only dream and imagine the fun you all are gonna have (and die in envy!!!). But yes, I'll be with you all in spirit. Cheers!

Exactly my sentiment when i joined some forums years back.
As i found out,
some will give their words of honor and turn up.
Then you will know who are those who uses "lips service" only.
Anyway, good luck to you. Coz you may find some real good friends amongst them

Cheers
