Yeah its true. The way the stock R6 is is designed, one side has the low beams, then you flip the high beam switch and the other lamp turns on. You can have someone re-wire the lights to run any way you want them to, but I have an R6 and I find this headlight configuration to work just fine. I know on the R1 the 2 inner bulbs on both headlights are the lowbeams and the outer bulbs are the brights, and I kind of wish the R6 had this config too.

Yes only one.....both are on with the high beams. I actually got pulled over 2 times because the police officers said I has a headlight out. The understood after I explained it to them.

Thats just you're low beam like others have said. I'd say keep both low and high on for safety- it is a very serious sport, and you're more likely to get hit by someone else than have an accident that is solely your fault.

Stay Safe.

Yes, same as in my FZ6 (traded in on an Aprilia). Right side is high beam. From memorty, actually, I recall NOT seeing that important fact in the manual.

The left side is your regular beam, the right side is your high-beam (brights). My Honda ST1100 is the same. I keep the brights on during the day.

The left is your daytime running light. Turn on both at night. My Suzuki Bandit does the same thing.
