I was driving down the highway, i tryed to change lanes and noticed my indicator wouldnt work, so i turned off my aircon and they started to work again, then i turned my aircon back on and the radio and lights wouldnt work, i got home, turned car off then tryed to turn it back on again but it wouldnt start, lights still work so does radio, apart from when u put the high beems on everything stops, i spoke to a auto electrician he said it sounded like the alternator i was just wondering wat your thoughts where and how much a new or rebuilt alternator would cost (AUD $) including labour and towing. thankyou :)

This sounds like a dying battery or corroded battery cable connections. Need to clean it up and then have them run a load test on the battery.

Have a charging systems diagnostic, $20, and this will check the battery and alternator and starter.

Good Luck!
