For a lot of people, his leadership in New York after 9/11 will be the reason they vote for him. But many overlook at how he saved New York BEFORE 9/11. New York is practically a country unto itself as far as it's economy, population, and societal problems. Guliani dramatically reduced the crime rate, improved the economy, and reversed the trend of people and businesses leaving the city. Those are all darn good reasons to look at his potential for being President.
I don't know yet if I'll vote for him, but he's in the top 3 choices for me.

you don't know? he single handedly saved the city of NY after 9/11 and decreased crime in NY considerably although his tactics failed in Mexico city he's "done many thing's" and boy does he remind everyone in every debate especially whenever Ron Paul has something to say. Not to belittle that he was there and he helped NY recover but yes he was in the right place at the right time he was doing his job nothing above and beyond so no I can only think about how he reduced crime dramatically but, he was also the one responsible for making the decisions that caused a lot of complications for NY during 9/11 such as faulty equipment servicemen had since they couldn't buy new stuff since he was trying to keep the surplus up and decrease taxes the location of the putting the New York Terrorism Response Unit inside the World Trade Center to “send a message” after the 1993 attacks even though they warned him that would be the worst place to put it due to cost and it not being the most protected spot.

You call being in one of the buildings of the world trade center being in the right place at the right time????.
Profound? He cleaned up N.Y.C.. The crime rate has gone down substantially since he was Mayor. He was cool calm and collected when the World Trade Center was destroyed. He demonstrated his leadership qualities when that tragedy occurred. He behaved with Presidential demeanor for the whole United States. He helped us live through those tragic, and fearful days. Are these accomplishments profound enough for you?

I've been to NYC many times while Rudy was mayor. I always thought it looked nasty, smelled nasty and felt sorry for the people paying taxes there. The roads are horrible, bridges are crumbling, the smell of garbage in the summertime is overpowering. Go ahead, bite the big apple..but don't bite no maggots..uh ha.

Stood firm against terrorism. Cut taxes numerous times to promote business growth in NYC. Cleaned up the filth in the city and removed thousands of people from the welfare roles into contributing citizens. Works for me.

What he has done, as does all the people like him did and continuouly do is to be a supporter, an ally, a friend, of the worst president this world has ever produce-george w. bush.
Anybody who supports, allies himself to a liar is also a liar. you can see it on his face whenever he gives speeches. The same with his bush-both think that all people can be lied upon.
He will never win. people have learned their lessons though in the most painful manner- in all the wars they enginered and concocted.
Take his speeches as a grain of salt. He has nothing to offer.

He took a major U.S. city that had the highest crime rate and by enforcing laws reduced crime to a point of being one of the safest. He reduced taxes and still had a surplus for the city budget. He cracked down on welfare fraud and saved millions of dollars in the process. On 9/11 he took charge of a disaster to a major city and calmed a nation by a strength in his leadership.
