The looks

"Evil" is nothing more than a term coined to describe things/acts/ppl the person USING the term finds abhorrent. What's evil @ one time, or to one person, may be perfectly acceptable, even normal, to another, or in another set of circumstances.

As such, the term has little REAL, concrete meaning the way, say, "iron", which has a set molecular composition that does NOT waver from one time or situation to another does. Laws, while subject to change and interpretation, are also definable and far less subjective than terms like "evil" or "love", which are so subjective and dependent on the individual using them as to be almost meaningless outside of that particular context.

Be your own moral compass and decide for yourself what is right and wrong, because anyone, or any institution (yes, that's you, religious whackos) that claims to be able to make those distinctions for you is to be avoided, viewed w/ great skepticism, and perhaps feared.

Uneven DNA count ... lol ... that was funny!

Honestly, if we knew the answer to this question ~ we'd no longer have to worry about it, right? There are a myriad of different reasons a person may be or become evil. I tend to agree with the Satan theory at the rate this world is going. It's too bad we can't figure it out though ... then we could just create a "medicine" to cure it right? That's what we do with everything else.

Instead of anti-depressants we could call them "anti-evil" pills. Wouldn't that be just grand! I can see the marketing gurus at work now ... bad slogans and sales pitches galore!

~ Just take your meds and "See no evil ... speak no evil ... hear no evil ... " with the 3 monkeys as mascots.

~ or ~

"Just one a day ... keeps the evil at bay!"

Sorry, but I 'm REALLY tired and this just seemed hysterically funny to me! =)

Choice. Nobody is actuall y"made" evil. We all have the potential to be heroic and virtuous or self centered and manipulative. Most of us do a little bit of both.

"Evil" itself is sometimes a question of which side you are on. One side's freedom fighters are usually the other side's terrorists. Free love or debauched orgies? "Honest, natural" paganism or idolatrous magic.

Even the Nazis thought they were improving the world (for themselves). The best test of "evil" (which was Jesus' test) is whether the action is about other people (the good Samaritan for instance) or oneself (the Levite)

i would say that evil is part of humanity and that it a daily fight to stay in the right path....
its only our fault if someone chooses evil, no one else is to blame than yourself.
Adolphe was Evil and you cant blame his parents or any outside pressure. He was Evil, but he thought he was doing Good!

First you need to define evil. I mean is it evil if I tell a lie? What is Evil? According to the bible a sin is a sin and not one is greater than the other. Soooooo...with that said a lie is just as evil as a murder in the creators eyes

They are evil when they dont agree with you. All of us think that we are on the side of the lord, so if they dont see it your way, that makes them evil.
