Why isnt anybody thinkin about the broncos as superbowl contenders i mean they still have a solid d without al wilson and in my opinion the best secondary in the league. Not to mention John lynch a veteran and hard hitting safety. When it comes to offense they have a strong armed qb a veteran running back and two okay receivers in brandon marshall and javon walker. Two alright tight ends Tony sheffler and Daniel Graham. And in their division the chargers wont do as good as last year with a new coach the chiefs wont fair well either because of losing trent but theyll do okay and the oakland raiders will be better than last year but not good enough to be a contender. so why is nobody taking the Denver Broncos seriously. They can go all the way

Ignoring everything you have said, did you see travis henry? He is a bulldozer people are saying he is going to get 2000 this season, I was skeptical, but after seeing him play I think so too. The Broncos haven't had a back this good since davis, and that is counting Portis, Droughns, Mike Anderson, Quentin Griffin, Olandis Gary, and Both Bells. PS to whomever said
"They can go all the way, but there are a few problems.

New England"
Um when was the last time new england beat the broncos in a playoff game wasn't that like never? at least not while I have been alive 20years and from what I have read they never beat elway.

Last year, the Broncos were giving up in the 4th quarter, winning or losing. Also they have made some great offseason moves. If the Broncos fix their problem, and start playing a whole 60 minutes, we can and will go to the Superbowl

I think they are a contender. A lot will depend on the play of Cutler though. I think Cutler will be a good NFL QB but this is only his second year, it may take him another year or two to reach his peak. Denver is a certain playoff team, and with some luck a possible SB team but I think it is a little early yet considering Cutler maturity.

To get to the Superbowl, you'll have to win your division. Do you really think the Broncos can beat the Chargers? I find that unlikely.

Even if you aim for a wildcard, I find it unlikely that you'll be able to get past the Colts, the Patriots, the Steelers, the Bengals, and the Ravens.

Well, keep hope alive, anyway.

i think the broncos will make the playoffs and possibly upset a team like the steelers or the ravens in the wildcard round, but i don't think they are getting much farther than that. to make it farther, they would have to beat the pats, colts, or chargers. i don't see that happening. in another two or so years, after cutler gains more exp., they are totally more of a contender but not right now. looking at 9-7, wildcard team who will make it to the first round and possibly the second round!

I like Graham, but I don't see him as the earth shattering addition that he's being made out to be. Travis Henry will be a great pick up. The Defense is stacked. It all comes down to Cutler. To be frank, I haven't seen anything out of him that makes me think he can carry this team to the Superbowl. Not this year anyway

I am a broncos fan as well and as much as I wish they could win the superbowl this year they can't there is just too many other talented teams in the AFC maybe if they were in the NFC

Well anyone can win it, i mean look at Roethlisberger and the Steelers. The Broncos are a 2nd tier team at best. Unless the chiefs straighten some things out they will prolly be wildcard, but i doubt they go any further. There are just to many GREAT teams in the AFC for anyone to expect a GOOD team to win it.

Don't forget Jason Elam.
I know it's just pre-season, but we looked pretty good beating the second worst team in the NFL!
I'm looking forward to the Dolphins @ KC game. And I'm so not worried about the Chargers...

Yes but the Browns will be too. I'm not a Browns fan but there a great team who's going to make the superbowl.
