i know that before you ovulate you get this egg white like discharge, but how long does the discharge last for? im almost a weel late on my period, neg preg test, just got off pill last month. im starting to think that its taking 2 months for my monthly to happen. i have egg white discharge for like 2-3 days amd opk says i am ovulating but alot of people have said they gotten a positive on an opk when they were preg. any sugestions would be great, thanks

The mucus can last for a few hours or all for weeks on end. If you are actually ovulating then the mucus usually lasts 2-3 days and then rapidly dries up after ovulation. But women who aren't ovulating tend to have long patches of fertile cervical mucus that never completely dries up. When you get a pos. opk it means you SHOULD ovulate in the next 12-48 hours. Women who are pregnant do often get a positive opk.
After getting off birth control it takes a few cycles to get back to normal. Take a home pregnancy test to ease your mind and then just try to wait it out til your period shows.
