They are allowed to start drinking at a young age...16! I somehow can't imagine 16 year olds going in bars and liquor stores. Doesn't seem right to me. :/

Society has become increasingly "success obsessed in the last couple of decades and a whole generation of lesser educated teens and twenties feel left out of the so called economic success story that we are told represents Britain today. The fact that they have lots of time on their hands with nothing to do other than watch often brutally violent video games, movies and trash pod casts - all the time supported financially by the Welfare State - creates a listless, unachieving mob culture of boredom; those who look for their kicks in binge drinking, drugs and, often, violence!
The Welfare State - which was created to actually help those with a poor start in life - requires almost nothing in exchange for its money and THAT is a problem. Quite frankly I think that those who are able to work SHOULD work for their money and there is plently that could be done in exchange for handouts from the government. It's not going to solve the problem but at least it would, to an extent, alleviate the situation and take a lot of young people off the streets who feel frustrated and useless!
