I think for now, no matter what Vick pleads, he'll be suspended for the year.

Hopefully, Goodell will ban Michael Vick from the NFL for life if Michael pleads guilty. It is being reported that his defense team is divided concerning whether or not he should accept the plea deal that has been offered to him. Considering there are 7 witnesses willing to testify, plus one of his Falcon team mates might be called to testify against him, the additional charges that might be filed Friday, and the horrible publicity that will result from the sadistic details of dogfighting coming out in the trial over and over, I would think that those who are on the side of going to trial are thinking about their own bank accounts. A long trial will insure the attorneys of some mega $, and lots of publicity for them. For those who say that Billy Martin is the man and will get Michael Vick off, well....he didn't get the ex mayor Campbell off, Campbell is in prison as we speak.

Well if he accepts a plea bargin, Vick will be headed to jail. He probably will not ban him for life, maybe a year suspension that's about it. The plea bargin is so Vick can serve his sentence and return to playing in the NFL.
