Break yarn. Draw end through rem sts and fasten securely. Attach braid
and tassel to end of cap.
How To Make Braid:
Cut 6 strands of MC yarn approximately 15" long. Fold in half and pull around any vertical pole (I used a knitting needle and held it between my knees!).
Braid the yarn. On right side of cap, pull unfolded end of braid through hole at tip of cap (you can use a knitting needle). Pull the cap inside out and knot at end of braid (on wrong side of cap). Make the braid as long as you want. Pull the cap back to the right side. Pull the braid and make sure it's secure. Attach tassel to folded end of braid.
How To Make Tassel:
Wind yarn around your hand, slip it off carefully. Switch to your small finger. Attach a strand around the end (about 3/4") securely. Slip it off your small finger and do a couple more rounds and tie a secure knot. With a strand, attach to folded end of braid. Cut the other end and trim. The fun part of this tassel is it is telescopic, which means you can leave the braid on or pull the braid back inside, leaving just the tassel at top of cap on right side.
Tips:
Use smaller size needles for the first 3.5 inches ribbing. You could use elastic thread; it will be stretchier and will fit better.
Circular needles are easier to work with and will make no seam. When work gets too tight switch to corresponding double pointed needles.
Adjust needles to the yarn you are using. This is a perfect project to use your left over balls of yarn.

I even have heard of persons knitting clothing for what they call "Fish and chip little ones" the garments are sent to destructive international places to help little Babes keep heat. i think of its an extremely stable concept, i don't be attentive to the splendid call of the charity yet once you style in fish and chip little ones then perhaps you will discover something, I basically be attentive to of them because of the fact i be attentive to a girl who makes knitted products for them. She additionally made a blanket for one in each of my teddy bears yet helping little little ones is an excellent concept and its an extremely stable reason.
