Out of all the sports...Who is the best player ever? It could be past time or recent!

Michael Jordan because he was the greatest basketball player ever and if you ask most people who is the athlete they have heard about most over the years they would say Michael Jordan no doubt.

I've heard it argued that Mohammed Ali or Michael Jordan are the best. Statistically you can't go past (in my opinion) Don Bradman - cricketer. He averaged 99.94 in batting internationally, and well over 100 in national competition with the next best ever averaging around 65. That makes him half as good again as any other player of his sport. BTW just before he died a few years ago he was playing full rounds of golf at below his age, at the time 92.

Babe Ruth.
He rescued baseball from the throes of the 1919 Black Sox scandal by popularizing the HR. This revolutionized baseball at every level forever. He's still the greatest in baseball history, too--look it up.

Wayne Gretsky. he will always be the best. some of the stuff he did was amazing. he holds soooo many nhl records. he and any team he went to good. he was a great guy, a team player. #99 will always be the best athlete there is and ever will be!
