I'm going with my family.
where are some fun/good places to visit?

Where your family roots are.
(If you are of Swedish decent, go to Sweden. If your grandparents were Italian go to Italy.)

Go especially to the countries you have heard stories about.
Or go to those places you have always wanted to see, the ones you think first about when you say Europe.

Each country has things for each age.
When you have decided on one or several countries you can start looking for special things.
If you need more help then tell us which age groups you are looking for.
It does make a bit of a difference whether you want something for a 4 year old or for a 14 year old.
(Or for a 40 year old.)

To be able to completely answer this question you should include:

Makeup of family - ages of kids etc.
Time you will spend in Europe (How long, and when)
Preferences, and special needs (diet, handicaps etc.)

In general - the larger european cities have 'something for everything' so those are usually a good gamble.
As Willeke said, if you have european roots, visit the country your roots are in. It adds that little bit special to a holiday.

Personally i have good expirience in Cologne (Germany), Paris (France), Amsterdam (The Netherlands - but i`m close to there, so i might be biased).
