period causes gas & pooping?

Don't really know any other way to say it. lol
When I'm on my period, I always get a lot of gas and I have to go poop a lot.
Could it be the cramps?
Or what?
I'm not worried, just curious.

Yea I think it's common for women to do all that during their period. it sucks....

I think that is common !! I think it's the cramping that causes it myself !! Isn't it terrible ! and messy !!! I hate it !!! when you got to do both !!!!!!!! and gasy!!
