Shown in the U.S. unedited, it would recieve a tv-ma rating.

There is partial nudity, some sexual situations, and bloody/graphic violence on an almost Kill Bill level (body parts shown being chopped off with huge blood squirts). And while there are some episodes that are rather mild, and wouldn't recieve a tv-ma rating, the overall series would definitly get one.

I could maybe see some editting done to remove the nudity and sexual situations that may bring it down to a tv-14, but I still think the violence alone may warrant a tv-ma rating in the eyes of the raters. Plus I wouldn't want to see this series butchered like they would end up doing to make that work.

It may varry depending on episode. TV Ratings aren't always contious some times a show can be TV-PG one episode and be TV-14 the next. Maybe TV-MA. Evangelion really jumped around.
