I wasn't able to find a place where you could read The Hiding Place online. Since you are saying that the libraries around you have no copies in stock, you should be able to buy it at a local mega-book store like Barnes and Noble. If you can't or don't want to buy a copy and don't know anyone who has a copy, is it possible for you to select a different book to read? There are sites that will allow you to read various books online (it is legal if either the copyright has expired or the holder of the copyright permits it). If you can pick another book and want to read it online, here are some sites I found while searching for The Hiding Place:

I'm sorry to say this, but reading books online is illegal, plus I think it is an insult to the authors that work hard to write these stories. My best advice is to go online to every bookstore website you can think of, locate a store near you and see if they have the book in stock. I can almost garuntee Barnes and Noble has a copy. If not, try Borders, or Walden Books.

A couple of ideas that you could try out instead reading it online:

Buy the same book from a store
Borrow it from your friends and family if they have it
Search Yahoo! and Google for your book

Hope this helps!

Get one from the library.

Usually libraries have a waiting list they can put you on. If the book is checked out by someone, once they return it, you should be ablt to check it out.
