Perspective of 911
Gasps from my parents did I silently wake,
Came to their room and did quake.
This horror, I thought was some mistake,
“Jump from the building! Surely this is fake.”
Building scorched into flames like steak.
Convinced myself and now awake,
Partake.
Partake of this horror… partake this curse…this nations greatness I will partake.

Very nationalist of you to partake......
I like the first part but the 'partake-part' is very impersonal all of a sudden. It is like you distance yourself from it all but I think you mean the opposite. Yes I know the word is a great find.. but repeating it 4 times makes it sound detached.
