well if you want two computers to get internet you will need to buy a router if the computers are far apart such as opossite ends of the house then you can buy a wireless router and a wireless reciever which will be more expensive but totaly worth it

Here is the solution of your problem: just use wireless prepaid internet. All u have to do is to buy the following:

1. Internet wireless device for ur SSID: (Ex. speedtouch, 3com, ect.)
2. If u're using new model laptop no need to buy internet wireless receiver. However, if ur using old laptop and old or new desktop just buy internet receiver (ex. 3com, dlink) then install it in ur computer. In this case, u can connect or share ur connection up to 11 users.

If you have a cable modem or dsl modem, just hope to any computer store and talk to a sales rep. They can hook you up for under $100.00 easy. It's actually a very easy thing to do.
Some of the questions they should ask to get you the right gear is, the locations of your computers, they type of internet access you have, and your level of comfort to set it up.

You can contact me via email if you have additional questions.

The easiest route is to own a router, switch or hub. You can also get by with a crossover cable, but the expansion possibilities are less then.

Let me know
