why do people go emo? their life cant be that bad..?

Same reason people go thug, gothic, g'd out, punkster, skater, etc. Its about fitting in, whether thats the real person or not isn't the point, its about surviving in a social environment where being an individual is becoming harder and harder to be. Were all a bit goofy, werid, cool, smart, this, that and the other thing pretty much were all the same in how were different unfornuntely we've got a society that only likes the best. So people pick a group they feel they can be the "best" at, it isn't good, it is in a sense social comformity and closing your mind, but in the end we are given no greater purpose but to help ourselves, well watch how man kind helps himself.... and the death of individualism, because in the end we need each other more then we ever really needed ourselves, crazy huh?
