it does vary by state but generaly no you shouldn't sleep in your vehicle
unless you want us to get a zillion calls about it.
either as a suspicious vehicle or disabled vehicle
generaly you should pull in to a rest stop/area to sleep.
maybe a gas station like a flying j or such (ask permission of the store manager)
if you just pull over on 95 or in a neighborhood you will get the cops knocking on your window in no time

It depends not only on the state, but the municipality. It's all in WHERE you park your car.
