this is sort of related to another question about overheating. However, I had my radiator checked. They found no problems at all! But it keeps bubbling and spewing smoke. No, I recently got an oil leak fixed and had built up oil on my engine but now that has been cleaned up. Could that old oil have caused some of the problem??? I mean I just drove it to the store and back without it bubbling. Maybe this is just wishful thinking. I am tired of spending tons of money on my monster.

it could have been burning some of the old oil off of it ,and yes that might have cause it to smoke from in under the hood, but not out the exhaust pipe of it,it also can make one run a little hot at times, especially with temperatures being as hot as they have been, you can drive it and see, sometimes a real dirty engine ,will cause one to run a little hot,but i don't think you,ll find that to be the main cause of it overheating,i hope it does alright for you though, you,ll just have to drive it and see,if not start looking again for the cause of it good luck on it.

you need to determine whats smoking is it oil smoke,or overheating.if its overheating it will be a white smoke and smell sweet it could be a head gasket leaking if its coolant problems

well it could be a few differant things or a combination of all first it could be a weak water pump.....or if the car has electric fans it may be a temp sender that tells the fan when to come on............also if the car has overheated alot it could be a blown head gasket
