SSID means the unit or brand of wireless internet connection. E.g: if ur using speedtouch (the brand) and u see such problem: limited connectivity or connection: At link address: just type www.speedtouch.com then click, next button until u arrive/see "finish" button. if ur using 3com brand, etc.,, just type their website with the same procedure.

Please note, that for all internet prepaid subscriber are encountered with the same problem: limited connection or connectivity.

For Desk Top:

Just follow the above procedure: There are cases that u are already connected, however, you cannot open ur yahoo or hotmail, etc., go to the wireless device u are using: sample dlink, 3com (it will appear on the bottom of the screen) just click and then go to site survey, then click the SSID: u are using, then click refresh, then click again the SSID name then click connect....im sure it will works.

Note:
For prepaid users: Limited connection or connectivity will also appear if ur card is already expired. For prepaid card expiry a minimum of 1 month. however, if ur card is not yet one month, then follow the above procedure.

Since I am a prepaid internet user, I encountered all this problem. so follow the above procedure.

Do you HAVE a wireless network at home ? If so you need to talk to whoever set up the router and ask them for the SSID (Wireless network name) or let the laptop try to find a new wireless connection, DO NOT delete the school one.
Also you will need the WEP or WPA key for the network if it is security enabled.

If you have no wireless setup at home, it WILL not connect.
