So many people on this forum give irrelevant answers or start going off on people and it's just because they have not read the entire questrion. If you're going to take the time to answer...take the time to read the question and understand the point that is being made. Don't you agree?

OH YA!! I noticed the people who don't read the question and just leave something simple are usually the ones trying to rack up points...check out the people who are high pointed and you will see, they will only leave two words etc...and then they get points...That's what it's all about...It's a shame people do this when they could possibly have knowledge to help others...

I haven't asked a question so I don't know.
I know that in answering a question, yes you can go on a wee tangent, but that's just what happens sometimes, I can usually pull myself around again.
I trust it gives the questioner a fuller answer.
But you may not be talking to me??

Anyway life is to be enjoyed, and at least there is a place where people can feel listened to, and can ask a question and get back a variety of answers from different perspectives.

Some questions are actually quite difficult to answer as well, some presume you agree with the synopsis, or what they believe, some are very closed, and that is harder to get to what they are wanting answered.

I trust I have answered your question?

I agree I hate people who do not read. I mean our education system is one of the best in the world there is little if any excuse for someone not being able to read these days. What? Oh oops sorry. Lol yep you are right I mean people should read the questions. It is hard sometimes to know what people are really asking though. Sometimes people just go on and on with their questions putting irrelevant information in them as well, and yet others do not put enough. I always try to make my answers relevant to the questions, but I do get a little long winded on some of them. That is usually because I have a lot to say regarding some topics. :)

Yes and I also get tired of people who do not write in a complete sentence or leave a word out that can change the whole Q. People should proof read there Q before submitting them.

Yes I agree. Someone should have all the facts before they start telling the person off. Yes, the person already knows that something went wrong, that's why there asking for help, they don't need it told to them again by strangers.

And yeah I know I kinda changed topics half way through. But I do agree with you.

It depends. If the question blathers on and on I might skip it or, if I've already spent more than 30 seconds on the question, I'll answer with the information already received. In my opinion, anything longer than the question you asked, is too long!

Yes. I am not surprised by it because it is similar to when you are talking face to face.. What I mean by that is that people don't usually listen to everything that another person is saying even in regular conversation. Most people could be better listeners!

Not really. We all know what part of our question is going to be high-lighted, and if we don't get the crux of the matter within it, that's our fault. There are too many questions out there to bother with the fine print.

Nope because I did.
People sometimes narrates their story in a sense that I will have to dedicate an hour reading their "manuscript"... That's tiring.
