...I don't understand it.

I mean, it sure seems like a nice place, enough that I'm moving there next year! The state is beautiful and the cleanest I've EVER been to. Its cities are full of history, greenery, and pride. (Truth be told, I'd rather live in Houston than any other city in the state.)

The people, whether virtual or real, are some of the friendliest I've ever met. (OK, there are two Texas natives in my town that are just grouchy jerks, but I guess they moved here to Kentucky because they're better suited for us!)

For the Texans that want people to quit moving there, let me just say that I'm not moving there JUST for schooling, employment, etc. The greatly predominant reason is your friendliness, culture, and pride, and I hope that never changes!

So, educate my about why so many people hate the Great State of Texas.

God Bless Texas!

I'm a native Houstonian. I can't say that I love the culture. The primary culture in Texas is football. While there is some real culture, as in art and music, I don't think it gets much respect. Then again, this is the only place I've lived, so it's hard for me to judge. I would say, that the Olympic committee turned down Houston as a possible location for a future Olympics. They said we were not cosmopolitan enough. Consider that they also said that we have enough sports stadiums to be ready to host an Olympics with only a couple of weeks prep. So sports facilities we have in abundance. But as a general rule, the arts and other culture doesn't get much respect, IMHO.

S.? do no longer you think of human beings of that custom's descent could be getting some crap too? Texas has a different background like no different American state. we are the only state that replaced into an self sufficient united states of america (The Republic of Texas) at one time(1836 - 1845). We have been admitted to the Union below the assure that we could revert to being an self sufficient united states of america by ability of two/3 vote from the TEXAS legislature. Texas has been area of many 2nd in background and had in call for human beings come from Texas and to Texas consisting of chief Quannah Parker,Dwight D. Eisenhower,Admiral Chester Nimitz,Sam Rayburn, Sam Houston just to call some.

I like Texas because it is home to my favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

I seriously had no idea anyone hated it. I love it myself, and my awesome uncle lives there. If you give me a person who says they don't like Texas, then I'll be darned.
