When you are walking through your house at night and it's completely dark and walk into someone you live with(or even worse, a stranger who secretly broke in) and it's scares the bejesus out of you because you didn't expect it?

Yeah, happened once, scared the crap out of both of us. I didn't know my reaction would be like that, he thought it would be funny to scare the old man. He had a beaut of a shiner for a week! Next time he tried to scare me, he did it from a safe distance. He was 19 at the time.

If I walk into a strange man in my house they're gettin a ballshot and i'm runnign away...and none of this oh no i'll run upstairs crap they see in the moveis...oh...no i'm running to get a weapon...i got a family to protect you dont go breakin into THIS womans house thinkin you gonna get away scott free.....

I have a fear of that happening and I always peer my head around my door before walking in and turn on the lights immediately.

One time it was pitch black and my dog decided to run right in front of me and I tripped down the stairs...
I had no idea what happened until several seconds after I woke up.

yes it scares me the war zone ( wife) used to wash clothes and hang them in the bathroom. nothing like a wet bra in your face at 2 am
