24k gold over brass would mean that the brass has been dipped or plated in 24k gold. It is the same as silver plate. Its not solid gold or silver it just has a gold or silver coat on it. It would be considered costume jewellery.

real? what are you asking? it is called vermielle...gold plating over brass or another inferior metal. It is real, it is not solid 24K gold, it is gold plate. If you like it, enjoy it...just be careful on how you clean it and take care of it to prevent it from having the gold plating wear off.
If it looks good, wear it!!!

There is a thin layer of pure gold over the brass.
In this case, "thin" means something of the order of 10s of millimicrons thick.

'Layered' is a slick thank you to assert plated. It makes you think of it is extra advantageous than that's. The gold is real, yet there is no longer very lots of it. And when I say no longer very lots, I recommend it. you are able to gold-plate a necklace with 25 cents properly worth of gold. Or much less.

It's very common for less expensive gold pieces to be made of gold-plated jewelers brass.

24 karat gold is very soft and is rarely used for jewelry or ornamentation except for very thin plating or gilding

it's real gold, plated very thinly over real brass. so, yes, there's real gold there, but not very much.
