One of the greatest running backs ever, an elite receiving corps, an MVP at quarterback and the "Greatest Show on Turf" versus some unknown QB named TOM BRADY?
Those were the cards that spectators and oddsmakers were dealt in the Rams/Patriots matchup, and what transpired would create legends that are still dominating the NFL. Brady led his underdog squad to the Rams' 30 with seven seconds remaining to set up a clutch kick by Adam Vinatieri to seal the 20-17 upset. The win would be the start of a Patriots dynasty.
he underdog who came from nowhere and miraculously led his team to three Super Bowls! MIRACLE STORY, MY FRIEND.
come on now.

Jerry rice was viewed as a late-round pick due to his 4'7 fourty at the combine. Donald Driver was drafted in the 7th round. Tom Brady was taken in the 7th round. Walter Payton recieved very little pub. coming out of college, also due to his speed. Willie Parker wasnt even drafted and didnt even start at North Carolina in college. Zach Thomas was viewed as too short to play in the league. Mike Furrey couldnt even start at any position then blew up at wideout last year. Kurt Warner was deemed so bad that he spent a season in NFL Europe. T.O. wasnt even good enough to get a scholarship to a D-1 college. Drew Brees was believed to be too short to play in the NFL. Matt Hasselback was Brett Favre's back-up for a couple years. Most NFL analysts didnt think Steve Smith would be able to holddown the no.1 wideout spot in carolina after muhsin mohammed went to chicago.
