type lol, are they realy laughing out loud? Or do they just say that. Ha ha! I know that when i type lol i am not realy laughing out loud, but i guess thats kind of the point.

Yeah, its more like an expression especially if its really funny. Although, I have LOL literally when I'd read the answers to my questions.

Well, my friend asked me that same question,
when I typed lol. He asked..
"Do you really laugh out loud..?"
I said, "No, I just laugh quietly to myself..really"
"Well then don't put lol, it doesn't make sense."
"Then what will I put..?"
"lqtm"
"Huh?"
"laugh(ed) quietly to myself"
"oh ok, haha. lqtm."
So now I say lqtm.

i rarely lol in real life.. i contain my laughter...i dont know why..but usually it's a that's funny kind of response....

i never use "lol", "lmaol" ...
it just not me.
i prefer to type "that's cute" or "that's funny".
